The opening of the store will create approximately 160 new jobs, provide grocery services to area residents and support local community organizations and vendors. The store is scheduled to open in early 2007.

"Happy Valley  is one of the fastest growing areas of the County", said Brian Rohter, CEO of New Seasons Market. "Because of our emphasis on fresh local products, exceptional customer service, and a commitment to supporting the neighborhoods where our stores are located, we're going to be an ideal match for the expanding needs of the community."

The New Seasons Market store will anchor the new Happy Valley Town Center to be developed by Gramor Development. The Town Center will be an approximately 220,000 square foot mixed-use centre that will include the largest amount of retail space in the county.

It will set the stage for new development at a very high level with architectural features and pedestrian amenities unheard of in suburban shopping centres.

Like all New Seasons Market stores, the Happy Valley location will carry the essential groceries for everyday living and will feature local and organic produce, natural meats and chicken, fresh seafood, cheeses, breads from the in-store certified organic bakery and an extensive wine and beer selection. It will also offer shoppers a full-service deli, complete with hot wok and salad bar, and an in-store dining area

"The Happy Valley Store will also offer customers a full service pharmacy focusing on natural and conventional wellness solutions; including compounded prescription medicines and personalized healthcare consultations with the New Seasons' pharmacists, nutritionists and wellness staff members," said Lisa Sedlar, President of New Seasons Market.
